As early as I can remember, creativity has been a part of my journey and served as a guide for my life. I feel most alive when I am creating. Following this trajectory and with an interest in education, I was drawn to the study of giftedness and creativity. Ultimately I settled into a career in higher education that primarily centers around helping teachers cultivate talent in young people.
About eight years ago, I worked with a friend on an interiors project in my own home and my passion for design was ignited. I began to see so many connections between great interior design and designing environments for learning. Much of the psychological understandings we have in education can be harnessed and reflected in interior design. Creativity, motivation, and problem solving are psychological constructs that can be building blocks behind beautiful design.
Using my background in creativity and learning, my interior design aims to build spaces that are beautiful, purposive and are psychologically fulfilling.
